‘Green Hell’ Animal Farming Update Adds Animal Farming Ability and More

In Green Hell, the player is immersed in the impenetrable, emerald depths of the Amazon rainforest; green hell. With no memory of how you got there, your goal is simple: to survive. Stuck in a beautifully nightmarish environment, it will take courage of mind and the most primitive means to escape.

With only a radio at your disposal, the player will follow a familiar voice through a seemingly endless and ruthlessly inhospitable jungle. Little by little, you will unravel more of the mystery of how you got into this hostile situation, and what you discover may well be worse than what you fought so hard to survive.

Clinging to life, the player is embarked on a journey of sustainability as the effects of loneliness weigh heavily not only on the body but also on the mind. How long can you survive against the dangers of the unknown?

Hot on heels reveal 3.5 million copies soldCreepy Jar is thrilled to announce the release of the highly anticipated animal farming update for green hell on PC. Available now as a free update, players can look forward to many new features such as the ability to tame and breed a number of in-game creatures, including the personal favorite Creepy Jar, the capybara! Celebrating this momentous occasion, the team at Creepy Jar are also delighted to announce that they have adopted Tenebris, the solitary capybara from the Orientarium at Łódź Zoo in Poland.

Announced as part of Green Hell’s 2022 roadmap, the Animal Husbandry update includes several new features that go far beyond just the ability to raise animals. Staying true to the basics of Green Hell isn’t as simple as you might think!

Using the brand new blowpipe weapon, players can hunt capybara, peccary, and tapir by safely putting them to sleep in order to tame them in buildable enclosures at their bases. Take care of them, gain their trust, feed them, clean up their living quarters and maybe, if you have a male and a female in captivity, you will be able to breed them as well. And of course you can pet your new friends! Additionally, you can also use the Blowpipe as a defense against other animal and human enemies, either immobilizing the threat immediately or over time depending on the size of your target.

In addition to the three creatures already listed, be aware that the Animal Husbandry update also introduces the ability to capture and breed bees by keeping them in beehives where players can then harvest valuable honey. Petting the bees is not recommended.

Perhaps the most exciting part of today’s announcement, Creepy Jar couldn’t be more proud to introduce Tenebris to players and fans! Residing inside the Orientarium of the famous Łódź Zoo in Poland, she is a cheerful capybara who enjoys eating her greens and playing alongside her tapir friends Oliwia, Grażyna and Kia. Taking its name from the Latin word for “darkness”, Tenebris is a ray of sunshine to zoo visitors, but its namesake is something the developers of Green Hell can definitely relate to!
