Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan responsible for hiding Union government aid to state, says BJP chief

Skinning Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for his alleged attempts to conceal Union government welfare in Kerala, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Chairman JP Nadda on Friday said the state was becoming a breeding ground. fertile ground for Islamic terrorists under the Left Democratic Front (LDF) with its political patronage for killers.

Addressing a mass gathering of BJP workers at Kozhikode beach, the BJP leader alleged that the society was becoming uneasy with the vast changes in its demographics in Kerala under a government that favored the policy of divided government.

“Religious communities, especially Christians in the state, are very uncomfortable with the changing circumstances. Concerns have already been raised about issues such as narcotic jihad,” Nadda said.

Citing the latest figures from the National Crime Records Bureau, he pointed out that Kerala was experiencing a strange growth in its crime rates under the LDF government which maintained only pseudo-secularism.

Outlining the nature and number of political killings staged in the state, the BJP leader said Kerala is witnessing political patronage for the murderers. Citing two recent murders in the state as examples, he said the Pinarayi Vijayan government’s political vendetta was disrupting minority communities and political parties.

From basic infrastructure development to poverty alleviation, Kerala has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of various central programs that have changed the conditions of the state, he said.

“There have been occasions when the country has had to wait decades and centuries for preventive vaccines against various infectious diseases. The situation changed with the entry of the Narendra Modi government,” Mr. Nadda said who also explained the country’s role in fighting diseases across the world with its own vaccine supply.

It was during the period of the NDA government that about 12% of people in the category below the poverty line improved their standard of living and reached the category above the poverty line, he recalled. .

BJP State Chairman K. Surendran chaired the event. National and state party leaders were also present to lead the rally which culminated on Kozhikode beach.
